The righteous gives good advice to friends,
but the way of the wicked leads astray.
We have this quote from Proverbs 12:26, as well as a quote from The Voyage of the Dawn Treader:
Sleeping on a dragon’s hoard with greedy, dragonish thoughts in his heart, he had become a dragon himself.
Is there a risk that we’re becoming too dragon-like? Not taking enough time to look around and marvel at God’s creation?
Undoubtedly yes. Pam says it so much better than I can though! We should take time to be less busy, to relax, to take in what is around us, rather than always seeking after more. I’m still trying to find the time to just sit – but it’s rather cold for going out at lunchtime whilst working!
